Many thanks to everyone who made it out for our "We Love Our Great Bay" cleanup initiative along Great Bay Boulevard. Together we managed to remove a large dumpster worth of refuse from along the entirety of the Boulevard along with hazardous bulk trash .
The area is a natural habitat for the Northern Diamondback Terrapin, an endangered species, and a popular destination for hikers, bicyclists, kayakers, bird watchers, fishermen, and naturalists. While most visitors love nature and actively work to preserve the area, there will always be those who do not. It's unfortunate, but we're grateful to live in a place where when it's necessary, the community is willing to come together to pick up the slack.
In particular, Gabe, Shaun and the LEH United team thanks; Kurt Andersen, Carl Beck, Paul Brundage, April & Shaun Collins, the Bracconeri family, the Chrzanowski family, Dave Frederick, Shaun Kilroy, the Johnson Family & Girl Scout Troop 267 (LEH), Gloria M., and several others. You are our Hometown Heroes!
